Shift Available : Permanent Shift Thursday 9-12 PM and Friday 2PM – 5PM in Dundas.

About your role:

To provide will personal assistance with client’s day to day activities

  • Assisting people to perform important daily activities
  • Performing home based tasks such as food preparation and housework
  • Undertaking tasks outside the home such as shopping
  • Ensuring a varied program of social activities
  • Providing emotional support and friendship

Requirements: FEMALE APPLICANTS ONLY

  • Preferably a qualification in Disability Support Work or a year’s experience in caring for people with disability
  • NDIS Worker Check and Working with Children Check
  • Working with Children’s Check
  • Valid drivers’ license and comprehensive car insurance for transporting participants
  • First aid with CPR Certificate
  • Infection Control and PPE Certificate (or willing to obtain ASAP)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail and timely updating of progress notes and record keeping
  • Ability to problem solve and handle challenging situations
  • Must have a working mobile phone with access to internet data
  • Have current work rights in Australia

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:

  • Punctual and professional in communication within the team
  • Client prefers female support worker aged 40 years and above
  • Can cook meals for the participant
  • Provides initiative for participants to have productive day
  • Creative to provide participants new ideas where they can be interested in trying new things

Pay: $33.00 – $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 16 per week
